Dear Jenny Cat and Tabbi Kat,

At 6am my chest is not a cat superhighway, indeed it's not a superhighway at any time. I would like to know how you always manage to put a back foot exactly in the wrong place (for me at least) that which causes maximum discomfort.

Breakfast is not for another hour, at 7am at the earliest, as you well know. At that time I'll always (not necessarily happily) get up to feed you fuzzballs.

Your, flat chested,

Dear Tabbi Kat,

I know I was a little slow in doing your breakfast this morning, but I did have to do the litter tray first. It was not a quick job as most of the litter was scattered across the kitchen floor.

When I did get to doing your breakfast trying to sneak up and start eating it as I was emptying the gooshy fud into your bowl doesn't make things quicker as you only shove your head in the way. It's also not a good plan to flail and knock a cake tin off the top of the stove when I pick you up to put you on the floor. That caused both Jenny Cat and you to run out of the kitchen as if all the hounds of hell were after you. On the plus side it did mean that I got you breakfasts made without further interruption. The down side is, is that I have a parallel row of scratches across my back, I assume from you claws as you used me as your launchpad.

Your, striated,

Dear TK and JC,

I'm not sure who was digging to Australia last night, but leaving more litter on the kitchen floor than in the litter tray is not funny. I have my suspicions, JC, as to who it was.

Your, pebble dashed,

Dear JC,

You've just had your breakfast, so there was no need to come and steal porage out of my bowl whilst I was still eating.

Your, hungry,

Dear Tabbi Kat and Jenny Cat,

Earlier today I changed the bedding. This is a regular occurrence and you should be used to it by now. So why was it that initially you refused to go near the bed.

Now though I would like enough space to actually sleep in my own bed tonight.

Your, cold and sleeping on the floor,

Jenny Cat who's bagged herself:

Piccie! )

I'm gradually putting piccies on their galleries as I work though my photographic backlog.

There's me sat on the loo, and Tabbi Kit hops up into the washbasin. Naturally I turn on the tap to a steady dribble. (Me? Under the paw? Nah.) She starts splashing water around with her paw, including on my glasses.

Jenny Cat is at this point lying in the bathtub and sees TK in the sink and decides to join her. Now you know what I said about Tabbi splashing water around? She's also managed to splash it all over the surface of the sink, so when JC jumps in she unceremoniously falls over as her paws shoot out from under her. I have great difficulty in not loling. When she regains her balance she shoves TK under the running tap, so now both cats are equally damp with the water beading on their coats. TK, with tail held high then tries to walk round the edge of the sink, and with wet paws the expected happens. She falls into the sink.

Now I really cannot help but lol. They both jump out of the sink and stalk out of the bathroom with tails held high in high dudgeon.

They are now sleeping in line astern across the bed, having just added to the confusion in this place by depositing an old style Nokia charger in the middle of the hall. I've no idea where they got that charger from at all.

The main firework display in town is held not all that far from my house and it is always very loud. I had worries about tonight as it is the furkids first bonfire night. These worries did not materialise. Tabbi Kit slept through it curled up by me. The more timid of the two, Jenny Cat, was sat on the windowsill watching the shiny sparkly lights in the sky totally oblivious to the loud bangs.
