- make ginger beer
- put into 2l plastic pepsi bottles
- allow to mature
- drink one bottle noting the the pressure inside was rather high
- fail to check second bottle
- be dragged out of slumber by a loud bang and the house shaking
- spend 5 minutes checking to see what went bang
- remember about ginger beer
- spend 20 minutes mopping up ginger beer and shards of plastic
- go on the net to find out what the rupture pressure (150psi+) is of a pepsi bottle
- post about it on LJ
