Following on from yesterday's post about righty (or is that lumpy or seepy?), I had my worry head on and couldn't get to sleep so come 3:30am I hit the soporifics in the from of a mug of Hot Chocolate and 2mg of diazepam. I'd barely finished the HC before I was out like a light. Woke up at some nonsensical time with a desperate need to pee. Getting out of bed was not easy, as I was tangled up in a very knotted up set of bedding. Not a restful night to say the least. Once I'd got my vaguely awake (and feeling crap) head on I realised that my handbag was making faint occasional beeping noises.

They turned out to be my phone telling me there was a missed call. A call the turned out to have been made late yesterday afternoon whilst I was out. It was the clinic at the hospital telling me that my appointment had been brought forwards to 11:20am Tues. As I posted on Facebook I'm not sure whether to be happy that it been brought forwards or scared that it's suspected to be much much worse than just a cyst. From a wibbly post I made in [livejournal.com profile] theladiesloos the consensus is that it's just the hospital being efficient and not wanting to waste a clinic space that has become available due to a late cancellation. Deep down I'm still worried as my original appointment was within the two weeks for urgent referrals. However, Tuesday it is. I'll be shattered as Monday is an early (4am) start with a necessary trip to London and I won't get home to bed until nearly 1am. To get to the hospital on time, allowing time in case the bus is late or breaks down, means I'll need to be up by 7am (2hrs to get ready, 30mins to get to the bus stop in town and an hour on the bus).

Other than having a bit of a wobbly time today not really done much other than clean the cooker and have a long soak in the bath while watching Alice in Wonderland.

Tonight I might well sleep properly. Here's hoping.

Oh, and does anyone else find the userpic to be a little disconcerting, or is it just me?

And have a gratuitous snake pic.

I don't frequent the loos, but I know enough to know that those who do tend to be very direct. If they say it's probably a cancellation, then it likely is.

It also occurs to me that your situation is, for them, somewhat unusual. It could be simple human curiosity. It could even be concern on their part about something that is very much out of the ordinary. Probably best to prepare yourself for oodles of students sitting in on your appointment.

Meanwhile, try not to fret too much...
