It's always been your life.

It's been a life, but a pointless life. A life of doing what is expected of someone who is natal male, and significantly failing in being that. A life of unhappiness, and feeling wrong.

It now is (and will be more so in the future) a life with a point and one that does contain happiness.

MY life, not a pretence any more.

I may have very different reasons for feeling wrong about most of my life, but I understand exactly where you're coming from. You've made your life what you want it to be at last, and nobody should condemn you for it. :)

And I have to thank you as well. You have given me another shove in the direction of something that I've needed to do for a long time now. You have reminded me that I do indeed have my own life and am allowed to live it anyway that I see fit.

I'm glad my little rantette has been useful. :)

It stuck me that a couple of years ago, I wasn't capable of writing something like that. I lacked the confidence in myself to write and say what I thought. I'd avoid the direct approach and just beat about the bush. Later I'd be cursing myself for not standing up for myself.

I tend to avoid conflict where ever I can, I don't like to fight and am actually rubbish at it.

One of the things I've chosen to change is that when ever I can I am going to stand up for myself. It's not going to be easy but I'll win in the end.
