Words you shouldn't hear…

On train announcement last night: "Our next station stop will be Chester, where this service terminates."
Yr humble correspondents reaction (on waking from a doze): "Uh? Whoa? Shit!"

Yr humble … should have alighted from the train some 35 minutes earlier. For once it was a 4 coach train. The front 2 coaches were almost deserted, wherein yr humble … was seated, or, to be more accurate, sleeping.

Whilst one should have arrived home significantly earlier; there was a slight bonus in that needed rest was partaken. It did, however, throw ones dinner plans awry. Instead of the sausage, mash, and caramelised onion gravy intended, one ended up with a plate of cheese and crackers.
