I seem to have recovered from last nights crappiness, courtesy of some retail therapy. Although I didn't do some of the shopping I planned on doing earlier in the week. Partly that was due to the amount of weight I'm loosing. It hardly seems worthwhile to spend money on clothes I may end up wearing only once before they become too baggy.
I have to admit I did feel like just staying in bed this morning, rather than getting up and hauling my sorry arse up to the station for the 8:30am train to Manchester.
Had a good wander round the shops and ended up buying; 3 CDs (One World - John Martyn, Up at the Lake - The Charlatans, and Herzeleid - Rammstein), another 3 books (Kushiel's Dart - Jacqueline Cary, Ironcrown Moon - Julian May, and The Runes of the Earth - Stephen Donaldson). I blame the book purchases on Waterstones. It is their fault for having a 3 for 2 offer on Science Fiction at the moment.
Also got a paella pan, which has been used tonight to make a rather scrummy paella. I did think of bunging the recipe up on Nibb'lous, but as it was a chuck it in the pan using whatever was in the fridge/freezer jobbie, it's a bit difficult.
A final word [From our sponsors? - Ed, No, and who let you in? - A] if you do a glass of tonic with a dash of lime, remember to put the lime in it. :)
