Hrumph.
I wandered down town to do the shopping I didn't do on Saturday. The reason for that being that I'd gone to Chester for the Saturday session of Eastercon.
Anyway, As I was walking home, I go to cross the road, and a voice pipes up:
"Excuse me", she says.
I stop to see what is wanted.
"You must wait until the green man is showing", she continues.
To which I reply, "I'm old enough to decide for myself when it is safe to cross the road". I then proceed to cross the deserted road, leaving her waiting for the green man. It's not as if there was anyone else about, especially young children.
