Today being a rather nice day I took the scenic route to town. So, rather than taking 15 mins to get to town, it took just over 1.5 hours.
This scenic route is a walk down the West bank of the River Weaver to Vale Royal Locks and back up the East bank. Today this was an absolutely glorious walk where I saw more people afloat on the river than out walking and enjoying the scenery.
When I finally arrived in town, I was muddy up to the knees, because it seems that in places the path is still very muddy. Ok, so I sank in mud up to my ankles.
Did the shopping and called in t he pub for an orange juice on the way past.
