Yes, it's an Anglophone Robin. He was in a tree on my walk to see my pShrink.

Do Anglo Robins migrate? Most of us here are used to the "first Robbin of Spring" arriving in the ...uh, Spring. Yeah. If yours do migrate, he's a trifle early, no?

We have Robins all year round. In more northerly parts of Europe they do migrate south.

The saying here is the 'first swallow of spring'.

Lovely photo! I keep meaning to set up my old manual camera by my mother's bird feeder but I never get round to it!!

I was just walking past a tree with my DSLR in hand, so it was an opportunistic shot. It makes me happy how well is worked. I did take a number of shots and that one is heavily cropped as would all the rest, but it is IMHO the best of the bunch.
